Are you looking for a dodge viper for sale? Check out the Automobile Search Engine: LemonFree.com

Q: Is there website where I can find all of the 2006 Dodge Vipers for sale by state?
I’ve been to several Dodge dealers in upstate New York and asked them to do a search for dealers that have 2006 Vipers in stock. Each dealer I’ve asked has provided a different response. I get the feeling that they don’t give a damn because they won’t be making the sale. What they don’t understand is that it’s difficult to sell an $83,000 Dodge. If I go to a dealer that has a 2006 Viper but it’s not the color that I want the dealer will attempt to swap their Viper with a dealer that has the color I want. The other dealer won’t swap cars because they don’t want to be left with a Viper(the one I don’t want) in their inventory because they can’t sell it. All of the dealers I’ve been to play the same games and they’re still stuck with a Viper they can’t sell. I want to locate a dealer that has the car I want and deal directly with that dealer.

A: www.autotrader.com
www.cars.com
www.autoweb.com

Q: How much would auto insurance cost for a 1995 dodge viper?
I saw the car for sale for $16,000.
The Viper has only 400 horsepower.

A: What difference does it make…It’s a Viper. Whatever it costs in insurance, will still offset what it costs to own one. Get the darn thing at all costs. $16k? Are you sure it isn’t wrecked? Get it! What are you waiting for? An invitation?

Q: engine swap. just wondering?
i have a 97 t-bird 4.6 V8. I saw a dodge viper motor for sale on ebay yesterday. Does anyone know if it will fit in my t-bird? If not, is there a way to make it fit? I saw a viper motor in a ‘63 vw beetle, so i know it can be done somehow.

A: If you’re asking then you’re not prepared for the swap. ANYTHING can be made to fit but at what cost? Your trans wouldn’t bolt up, basically everything would need to be customized in order to fit it.

You better have deep pockets….at the end of the day you’d end up with a huge bill for something that radical.

Q: 69 charger V10 viper engine question. more info inside!?
i have a hobby. i collect 1/24 die cast cars and i take it 1 step further by looking up factory specs like hp, tq, 0-60, 1/4 mile, weight, and top speed.

its all very acurate except i ran into a small problem.
i bought a 69 charger a while back and it has a viper V10 under the hood.
its not a dub city car, it looks 100% factory until you open the hood.
ive had it for some time now and i always just listed it under the 440×6 specs but i want to be more accurate now.

so….. assuming dodge took a complete factory spec 69 dodge charger RT and dropped a 2003 viper V10 under the hood and maybe change the tranny a bit and new street tires what would your best guess be at the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times and if you wouldnt mind also what would you guess the top speed would be?

thanks in advance and ill provide the specs so you dont have to do any researching.

i believe this is very do-able as dodge just released the challenger srt8 and the 69 charger is very close in weight. so i would guess Dodge would make this 1 of a kind 69 charger the same way with all the technology but drop the v10 in the car.

here is the car i hope you experts would take an educated guess on the numbers for: 1969 charger v10 500/5600 525/4200 0-60? 1/4 mile? top speed? 4065lbs

here on the numbers on the 08 challenger: 425/6200 420/4800 4.7 13.1@109 4137lbs top speed 175mph

and here are the numbers on the 2003 viper: 500/5600 525/4200 3.8 11.7@123 3357lbs 195mph

again im showing the viper because that is the engine that the 69 charger has under the hood
im showing the 08 challenger because its close in weight
and im just hoping i can get as many educated guess’s from true automotive enthusisits like yourselves.

again this is just a best educated guestament of what you believe the numbers would be if dodge took on this project for the sale of this high performance car using todays technology on a fully stock 69 charger meaning no weight reduction for racing, no nitro, just an upgrade of an icon.

thank you so much.

A: I like this question because of the amount of detail you give as well as the 69 Charger in my personal opinion is the greatest production car EVER. with a 426 of course.

Here would be my estimates for you
4.3 seconds 0-60
It would definetly be a 12 second car in the quarter mile
Probably 12.5 12.6

Top end speed and all these would also be determined by the rear axle ratio 175-185

Q: It’s Official…Viper is dead by the end of summer 2010…?
The “current” generation is the last generation, since Dodge never made a dime on these cars. Image maker, yes, profit maker, no. Fiat has given this an absolute no-go.

My brother(who owned a Dodge Dealership in California for 10 years) said they would sit on the lot literally for years before being deeply discounted for sale. In the hands of a professional race-driver(who could stand getting the crap beat out of them for 1-2 hour stints)it was moderately successful, but didn’t last the test of time, such as the 911

Just like Ford wouldn’t fess up until THEY announced Mercury would bite the dust(known to insiders), same with Oldsmobile, etc.

Have to admit…they did look neat, but was never accepted by automotive journalists as much more than a trophy-car for those with very deep pockets, since the ergonomics was a disaster, V-10 sound was God-awful, and the built quality was even worse than the present day Vette.

RIP Snake-eyes…you’ll be missed.

A: sorry to see it go could never afford one but they look good

Q: were can i find a camaro 69 for sale in san antonio at a cheap price?
i am looking for a camaro 69 but i cant find anything in san antonio. i need one that is under $30,000 and that works. and it has to be close to converse. can any one help me please

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

A: be prepared to pay well over 20 grand for a 69 SS the 67-68 is good enough a 69 is far from worth it. but here is a linky just for your creativity… http://www.cars.com/for-sale/searchresults.action?dlId=&dgId=&AmbMkNm=Chevrolet&AmbMdNm=Camaro&AmbMkId=20053&AmbMdId=20770&searchSource=HISTORIC_SEARCH&rd=250&zc=95814&cpo=&stkTyp=U&VType=&mkId=20053&mdId=20770&alMdId=20770&alMkId=20053&prMn=&prMx=&clrId=&yrMn=1968&yrMx=1969&mlgMn=&mlgMx=&kw=&kwm=ANY&ldId=&rpp=50&slrTypeId=

A: Check this out if you are willing to travel to Colorado Springs, Colorado or have something shipped. The best place I know of for camaros

http://www.frontrangecamaros.com/

Q: does anybody out there have or know someone who has a 1968 or 69 camaro for sale or trade for $12,000race eng.
the engine is new, still on the engine stand. It was dyno. at 560 horsepower plus. I have all recipts and engine spec. sheets.

A: You can buy a GM Big Block crate motor for about $7500 for the hottest one. Just check www.mrgoodwrench.comPeople just don’t trust an engine on a stand with fresh paint on it

Q: What is Would Sale for More 69 Camaro or 72 Grand Triano?
Both Are In The Same Shape

A: normally the camaro would but due to the recent movie the gran torino just increased in value and they are definately more rare. same as the 67 fastback mustang did after the gone in 60 seconds movie came out.

Q: Does n/e one know or have a 67-69 camaro or firebird for sale?
ok im 16 looking for a 67-69 camaro or fire bird to restore with my dad….im also intrested in 60 nomad, or a 71 chevelle….please guys its a project not a show room car.

A: try searching cars.com and Ebay.com but if those dont work use yahoo search page and enter 96-97 camaro for sale and it should find something for you

Q: Which would sale for more 69 camaro Z28 or 69 Camaro SS?

A: SS

Q: help looking for 68 or 69 Camaro project car?
im looking for a Camaro project car z28 or ss im hoping to find a 68 or 69 for sale ive been looking for 3 months but no luck in my area. im 13 looking into getting my first car but i want a muscle car to rebuild i have 2 years till i turn 16 and i hope i will drive one i live in new mexico. i know people look for years to find one but if you could just help out it would be greatly appreciated.

A: I know a fellow named Walter V. Ronk, goes by Walt that usually has cars that match what you are looking for. Give him a try at rammed88@yahoo.com and see if he can help.

Q: I’m looking for a 68 or 69 Camaro to restore anyone out there have one? I’ve got a 86 Camaro for Sale.
I live in Central Oregon.

A: Hey Shannon, do you know you have a road race car (if it is an IROC) ? It can easily be converted to one if ya don’t. In 1986 we changed the cam to reduce the HP 30% for fuel economy . They will do .95 on the skid pad with “shaved gatorbacks”, .93 without and the 350 engine we came out with in 1987 ran with the late 60’s Camaros(check Hot Rod magazineOct, 1987 for stats) So why not go with what ya got?

Q: What is a 1969 X 44 Camaro really worth?
I always wanted an american muscle car. This past weekend I made a trip to upland CA and noticed a nice 69 camaro for sale at this local mechanic shop. Therefore decided to ask the owner how much he wanted to sell it for, he said he wanted 5k for it and it also came with an engine, so I checked it out and seemed to be a new crate chevrolet engine. Everything is unwired so who knows if the engine runs, seems like an unfinished project someone had already started. The body is rust free though i really didn’t check the bottom of the car. Everything in the car is there. My question is simple, just want to know how much do these X44 complete usually go for? I want to know if my purchase will be a good one. Actually my dream car was always a ford boss. Should I buy then flip it here in LA and start saving for the boss?
can I flip the camaro for more?
Just picked up the car today. If you guys are interested to check it out e-mail at strenght_ethos89@sbcglobal.net
And thanks for all your help!

A: just because it is an X44 car doesn’t mean anything other than it was a “base” Camaro and did not have the SS or RS or Z28 packages, and did not come with the chrome drip rails or the chrome slots on the rear Quarters and the chrome around the headlights. This car could have come with any engine available from the 230 straight 6 to the huge 427 as a central office production order. It is worth 5 grand all day long, even without any motor or transmission in it. there are a thousand people in this world that would take the 5 grand out of the bank and buy it today if they knew its whereabouts! If i had the 5 G’s i would buy it site unseen. I already had a 69 X-11 which is the style trim group not RS. You could get the X-11 with any engine from the 230 {Which mine was} to the 396. I have the 1969 Chevrolet dealers sales album that tells you the available options for all model Chevrolet cars for 1969. I even started a yahoo based web site called getcamaroparts.com.

Q: My Dream Car… I’m looking for a 1969 Camaro For Sale!?
I want my own car to take to car shows. A 69 Camaro SS. Prefer one that I can restore. These babies are hard to find. Do you have my dream car? I WANT ONE REAL BAD!!!
Thanks everybody for your
information, but I was hoping to find a private seller or perhaps gramps had one back in the day of his younger years and kept the car stowed away in a barn. Maybe that’s how he met grams. Lol! not in the barn. The car. Hehe.

A: go to Craigslist.org you’ll find one easy

Q: i am trying to restore a 69 huffy camaro bicycle. Where can i find parts for it? I need fenders, chainguard?
I also need the tank light. Trying to keep it original and not spend too much money. I have had trouble finding any parts for sale, this is an old and rare bicycle.

A: Still looking for parts, eh?

You should be able to locate some JC Higgins and “Sears” bikes that were built by Huffy for Sears, and they were also sold under the Hawthorne name through Montgomery Ward. These were virtually identical except for the headbadge and color.

There were at least a couple of hundred thousand of those made and they aren’t really rare…. they are just stuck in the rafters of countless garages forgotten in time.

Q: 1969 camaro/1973 nova project car for sale?
My husband and I have been talking about a future with children and I know he has always talked about wanting a project car for our children to have when they are older. When the time does come to have children- I want to tell him in a very awesome way. He has mentioned to me that he wants to restore a 1973 Chevy Nova several times, but I know he has always had an interest in the 69 camaro- just finding one with a motor and transmission would be so hard. If anyone has or knows where I can come across one of these vehicles please let me know! I have searched google, classic cars, cars online, etc…im just finding them really really rusted or already restored.

A: If you want a project rusted is all you’ll probably find and that is probably more work than you’re willing to take on.

The best thing to do is to keep searching and locate someone who has gotten tired of their project and wants to bail out. That’s where you’ll find the bargains.

These cars are getting increasingly harder to find and the prices just keep going up thanks to all the auction shows on TV. Finding a car like that in drivable condition and still be considered a project is not going to be easy.

Q: chevorlet for sale?
does anyone here have a 1967-69 chevorlet nova or camaro for sale.

A: no sorry! if i did i wouldnt sell it….yeah check ebay but watch out for scams!

Q: i need help for finding one of these this is easy?
i need pictures or a picture of a 69 camaro ss/rs in very shiny black paint with dual white stripes down the hood, roof, trunk, and spoiler. and i need a picture of a 69 camaro with black interior and a 69 camaro 396 engine picture also a picture of a 69 camaro rear dual chrome exhuast also i need a picture of a blck 69 ss/rs camaro beating a mustang street or track THT PICTURE SHOULDNT BE TO HARD TO FIND i kinda sound like a robot lol but its for a story im doing about a 69 ss/rs camaro for sale in my 7th grade class and pics would be VERRRRRRY helpful thx!

Are you looking for a 67 camaro? Check out the Automobile Search Engine: LemonFree.com

Q: What is a good company for power steering for a 67 Camaro.?
What is the best way to put power steering in my 67 Camaro? Is a rack and pinion kit the way to go or is there a better way to?

A: year one industries

AKA: www.yearone.com

Q: Whats the best engine I can put in a 67 Camaro?
My cousin and I just got a Camaro from a neighbor who is moving away. Its got no motor and no tranny. we want to build it for track only. whats the best (biggest/strongest) engine we can put in it?
our budget is about 10 grand for starters.

A: 572 big block crate engine, 720 HP.

Q: What’s the fuel economy going to be in a ‘67 Camaro?
What’s the fuel economy in my 1967 Camaro going to be if I drop a 383 ci, 502 ci, or a 540 ci crate engine in it? Anybody have any specs on any of the engines perhaps in another car, or fuel economy numbers for them?

A: It depends on whose crate motors you are talking about, as in what builder. GM, Shaffiroff, World, etc. and what version of said crate motor. A 383 with EFI could possibly get over 25 mpg on the highway. On the other hand a 540 with a Dominator could be under 5 mpg. The fuel system and valve train combination will determine fuel mileage much more than the displacement.

Q: I want to restore a 67 Camaro, how difficult is it to find original parts?
The engine I’m not worried about. I plan on dropping in a 350 with some current modifications. I’m concerned about body parts. Metal panels and thing such as window cranks and whatever. Are they still readily available? Am I going to have to scour junk yards and Ebay or is there a company who makes new OEM parts?

A: Not at all, you can find parts all over the internet, just use google.com

Q: How much would a 67 camaro regular show car or a 64 impala stock show car which would go for more price range ?
How much would both cars sale for!

A: I would determine that the Camaro would sell higher than the Impala if they were both rated at the same level of resoration. There are different levels of show quality. Some are even judged by the correct bolts and even if the color is exactly correct. The engines and options also will make it rare and more desirable. Giving a price for both would be guess work without a lot of information that an appraiser would have to accululate. If I had both cars I would drive the impala and show the Camaro. If I were keeping one I would keep the Camaro as an investment. Sorry that I can’t be of more help!

Q: Can a semi automatic trans work on my 67 camaro?
I have a chevy 396 turbo jet in it.

A: Can I ask what you think a semi-automatic trans is? There’s no really no such thing unless you mean an automatic trans with a manual valve body…which in that case yes, it’d work…

Q: How to fasten down 67 Camaro dash pad?
Someone else took it out, now I’ve got the job of reinstalling. What steps can you give me to reinstall?. Will I have to drop my instrument panel and steering wheel?

On bottom side of the dash pad, on the metal part there are 4 studs (not screws) what type of clips or fasteners can I use to lock in place? Has anyone had any experience with this?
Thanks

A: sorry bro, but the factory way to do this..(been there dun that) and the only proper way,,is to remove the whole dash. if your resoring it, that’s what you’ll have to do. if not, find some spring clips with the hole size and reach like crazy to try and get some of them on. with the types of glue they make today.there’s probably plenty of substances you could use, but ive replaced many ..under warranty, and they are a nightmare1!!

Q: How do I close 67 camaro hood?
Ahh I need help! the hood of my car is open and appears to be stuck. Is there some sort of button to close it? Help!

A: just any other bonnent, either drop it from about a foot off closing, or lean on the end where the catch is until you hear a click/clunk

if no click/clunk, bonnent catch needs adjustment

Q: How do I tell what engine a ‘67 Camaro came with from the factory?
I know the VIN only tells if the car was a 6 or 8 cylinder car. And I don’t think the Cowl tag gives any engine information. So how can I tell what size engine the car came with?

A: Simply put, you can’t. Not unless you have original documentation that was supplied with the car either during assembly or delivery, such as the original buyer’s order or a factory build sheet. Your assumptions are correct about neither the VIN nor the cowl tag containing any engine info (other than indicating 6 or 8 cylinders). This has been a frustrating fact of life for collectors of first-generation Camaros for years now. Not until 1972 did GM add engine-specific information to the VIN.

Q: can a 67-89 camaro front end fit on an 81 Malibu?
I was a given a 1981 Malibu Sedan and I want to be unique where I live and i was wondering if a 67-89 Camaro front end would fit on my car. Don’t worry i ain’t going to tear apart a perfectly good camaro im going to search through junkyards. Also can a camaro lip spoiler fit on the car?

A: Why?????????????????????

Q: Can you install a Semi Automatic transmission in a 67 Camaro SS?
I was just wondering cause the semi automatic trans is usally used in newer cars..
PLEASE HELP

A: I assume you mean something like a manual valve body or a Transgo Shift kit? Yes, absolutely…and you don’t have to make any modifications to the engine like the first response stated….I have no idea where he’s getting that from

Q: Can you change a regular 67 camaro SS into a RS or RS/SS?
is it possible to change 67 camaro SS into a RS or RS/SS? if it is wouldn’t it be a clone? because i really want a RS or RS/SS 67 camaro. and i was just wondering if you can add the ralley sport package on a regular super sport 67 camaro? i hope you guys give me an answer? i would really appreciate it! thanke you

A: People do it all the time especially since these cars have skyrocketed in price! As far as a clone you make the car what you want it’s your money and time so enjoy it…All the parts were meant to fit anyway so good luck… P.S. Girls probably will not know it was rs or ss or rs/ss they just want a good looking car with loud pipes and nice wheels !!!

Q: 67 camaro electrical problems?
I have a 67 camaro rs. Electrical hideaway headlights. I have been having problems recently. It has keyless entry, but now, the passenger door wont lock or unlock with the remote. When i lock the car, the tailights blink twice, but only one of the left tailights lights up, but its fine when im driving. also, my reverse lights come on randomly when i drive. The right healight door wont open, but it will close. When i turn on my headlights, sometimes they dont turn on, i have to hit the dimmer switch and put them on brights for them to work. Also, the interior lights for the speedo and gauges is off alot of the time, and i have to fiddle with the headlight/interior dimmer to make them work. hah oh jeeze what else is wrong. Oh, my alarm doesnt sound anymore..i think that is it. ha If anybody can help with ANY of these problems, i would really appreciate it. I dont have much money, so taking it to a place might be out of the question, but if anyone knows a good place around the SFV thanks

A: sounds like whoever installed your alarm and key less entry screwed up your wiring. Only option is to have them fix it or take the crap out, and hope they didn`t cut to many wires.

Q: Where can i get a 67 camaro, 68 camaro, or a 69 camaro for a good price.?
I would like it to be kinda messed up so i can fix it the way i want it.

A: I don’t think there is such a thing as a cheap first gen Camaro these days, they are very desirable cars. In fact, I think they may the best looking car GM built in the 1960s. That being said, try www.craigslist.com and local ads. Anybody putting their car on Ebay will be expecting top dollar. www.collectorcartrader.com may have some as well. Also, just keep your eyes open when out and about; if you drive by somebody’s house and there is a rough looking car sitting in the yard that hasn’t moved in years, they may be willing to part with it.

Q: Any online games where you can customize your own 67 or 69 camaro?
Any online games where you can build/customize your own ‘69 camaro thanks

Are you looking for a camaros for sale? Check out the Automobile Search Engine: LemonFree.com

Q: When will the 2009 Camaros be for sale?
When will the new camaro’s be avaliable to buy? Will it be avaliable by late 2008? Does anyone know the exact month?

A: i believe it when i see it… been hearing next year since 2005…

Q: what is a good website where i can find a large veriety of 70s camaros for sale?

A: Ebay is a good site because you can sort the results by how close it is to you.
Don’t buy anything without seeing it and having a inspection done by a shop. If you have to buy something without seeing it first, you can get a local shop to inspect it.

Q: Any 67-69 camaros for sale?
I am looking for one from these years…….in black or black with racing stripes……I am not looking for a show car, just a dependable car for everyday driving. Looking to spend 20k or less. Anyone know of one up for sale? Thanks for any help!
I forgot to mention I was looking for an automatic!

A: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-68-chevy-Chevrolet-Camaro-V8-4-speed_W0QQitemZ280122360671QQihZ018QQcategoryZ6161QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

it will probley be less than 20 grand and it dont need a whole lot.

Q: are the new camaros for sale yet? I wants one! dey sweet?

A: According to the Chevy rep I spoke to at a car show a couple months back, they will be out in late third/early fourth quarter of 2008 (September or October, I’d assume). Pricing is not yet set, since they haven’t decided on engine packages yet, but I’d bet they will be competitive with the Mustang prices.

Q: Should I buy this Camaro?
Here is the ad for it:

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/camaros-sale/549238-90-camaro-rs-drag.html

I think I would be a colossal moron to buy it. But I want a Camaro. The problem is I would be making this purchase based on emotion, not logic.

I am not a mechanic. I know NOTHING about fixing cars. This car sounds like it would be unreliable as a Mo’ Fo’. If it’s such a good car, why is dude selling it?

Would you buy it if you were me? Would you buy it if you were you? What would you offer dude for the car?

I would not be able to fix up the car on my own. I do not know how to. I don’t have the tools. Etc. Should I buy it?

A: You prayed and asked God to get you the car of your choice.
so why not let Him work on it?
You do not have the money for it.
Let God have the idea and the desire you have to have a Camaro because if you do not the devil will pressure you into buying it yourself.

Wait on the Lord

do not buy it.

Q: Good deal or no? Please help ?
I dont really know much about cars, for one im a girl, and i am only 16 so yeah. My boyfriends boy Ryan said he’ll sell me his 92′ Camaro the 25th anniversary one like this:
http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/camaros-sale/466507-fs-1992-camaro-rs.html
(this isnt it, its identical but the one im talkin bout is mint green, and note how on the website itsgoing for 3,000.)

Anyway, he said it runs good and hes gonnafix it all up for me….and I only have to pay him 1700. Is this a good deal?

Thanks alot
Why shouldnt I buy from friends and family? Thats where you get the best deals…its the dealerships that rip you off for twice the money.
lol itsnot my boyfriend its his friend

A: No. Never buy from friends or family.

Q: why are first generation firebirds worth less than first generation camaros ?
why are first generation firebirds worth and sale for about half of what 1st generation camaros sell for when they have the same chasis and in most cases look the same?

A: No idea, I personally hate Camaros and love Firebirds. I don’t see how a Firebird is a chick car. Ram air is the coolest factory technology aside from turbocharging.

The Firebird was also referred to as “the last of the big cube birds” because it was the last muscle car to lose it’s big block engine and the associated horsepower that came with it. While cars like the Dodge Challenger had lost their 426 and 440s in 72 I believe the Firebird had the 454 till 76.

Q: When would a 2010 Camaro……?
come if I order it from the factory via dealership? I just want a rough estimate of how long it would usually take from the day you order one until the day you get it. I am going to ask the dealership too but I just want an estimate of about how long it would take. And also about how much would do they require as a deposit? Thanks in Advance

By the way I live in Dallas, TX and my dealership already has a couple of Camaros for sale in the lot but I want to make it how I want it. Thanks
Also it I want to order a 2LT/RS Camaro with a Black Interior and Exterior The MSRP is $28,825. Thanks

A: I believe that normal wait time is 8 to 12 weeks for factory ordered cars. Check with your dealer to find out how long, for sure.
Enjoy your new ride.

Q: Does anyone have a project camaro for sale very cheap??
I really am interested in buying a project camaro and fixing it up so I can drive it when i get my license so does anybody have one laying in there yard or know if there are any junkyards around that have camaros in them…..PLEASE LET ME KNOW

A: you aren’t allowed to buy or sell on here….shop craigslist…..there are always 78-82 camaro project cars listed there…..

Q: BUMBLEBEE CAMARO FROM TANSFORMERS FOR SALE ON EBAY – What do you think?
Here is the direct link to one of the three 1977 Camaros used as Bumblebee in the movie, Transformers:

Here is the link to the props for sale from the set of Transformers:

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZpremiereprops7

A: yea what about it?

i’d buy it if i had money and the 2008 camaro too

Edit: yea it was a beetle but they couldnt get the license from VW so they stuck with GM cars same thing with the mustang ford wouldnt give the license for it so they used saleen mustang

Q: Upstate SC cars for sale 0$ – 3500$ ???
Looking for a car. I like camaros,mustangs,ect.

A: Search for cars on a free classified ads website like http://www.stumblehere.com. You browse in your area, too. Their direct link to cars is http://stumblehere.com/search/subject-for+sale/search_where-city/section-44/.

Q: 2010 Camaro front license plate??? Texas?
I live in Texas and it is required by the state to put a license plate on the front and the back of your car. The Camaros that I see for sale in my local area dont have the place made in the front to put the license plate at even though when I saw a Camaro on the street the other day it had a front license plate. So do I have to get a front license plate on it if the ones at the dealers dont have it? (In case you didnt know the Camaro has a V-Shape front) Excuse this if you think its a stupid question.

Thanks

A: It’s just a simple bracket that will go on the bumper to hold the front license plate.
The dealer will have to add it after the sale. They probably don’t have it included in the showroom because it looks better without the bracket.

I never understood why some states require front license plates. It’s just a waste of resources.

A: Any 2010 Camaro ordered to a state with a two tag law will get the front License plate bracket. If like I am you live in a state that does not have the law GM right now will not ship it to you. You can order one from a dealer but they are back ordered right now. My favorite solution to the problem is the motorized front bracket check it out at the camaro5 website.

Q: CHEAP MUSCLE CARS l?
hello there…im looking to buy some muscle cars for projects me n my cousins work on them well mainly him….and we want to know if theres any kind of muscle cars for sale cheap under $5000 like camaros, chevelle’s,mustangs , rivieras mostly!!…..etc

I LIVE IN LOS ANGELES SO CARS CLOSE PREF….

A: There aren’t many options that will be in good-running, cosmetically-okay shape for that kind of money.

One way is to take any car you like, and look for the less-popular relations to it. You want a Camaro? Look for a Firebird (newer Firebirds are more expensive than Camaros, but the first generation is reversed…blame Smokey and the Bandit and Knight Rider). Mustang? Get yourself a Cougar.

A Dodge Dart might be a good option.

Or you could look at more modern muscle cars. (There ARE cars that revived the segment in the 80s) Fox Mustangs are that cheap. As are 2nd-4th generation Camaros. Also there’s the Ford Thunderbird/Mercury Cougar/Lincoln Mark VII and Mark VIII. Grand Nationals are starting to climb in price, but there’s a lot you could do with a regular Regal or Monte Carlo or Grand Prix or El Camino. One thing to remember: torque didn’t take NEARLY the hit that horsepower did when emissions regulations hit.

Q: Why did Camaro and Trans Ams sales slip, compared to the Mustang?
How did the Camaro and Trans Am’s sales fall so low that GM cut production?

For about the same price as the Mustang, the Camaro and Trans Am were always a bit more powerful. (Even the 1999-2004 Mustangs only had a 190 HP V6 and the a 260 HP V8, While 1998-2002 Camaros and Firebirds had a 200 HP V6 and a 305 HP V8 engine. Still the 2007 Mustang GT falls short of 5 HP than the 1998-2002 Camaro, which is several years older).

Mustang enthusiast had to buy the more expensive Mustang Cobra to have comparable times to the base Camaro z28 and Trans Am.

With the Camaros and Trans Ams being more powerful, how is it that they’re production numbers fell?

A: For one thing, some corrections are in order.

The question shoud be phrased with “Firebird” not “Trans Am” because that was what the base model was.

Additionally, you claim the Mustang was available with up to 260hp, but then you mention the Cobra. Why do you make that distinction, yet you don’t make it for the WS6/SS packages? You’re not comparing apples to apples, especially considering the Z/28 and Trans Am’s base engine was around 285hp. This can also be argued when you point out the older Camaro makes more than the current GT. What about the Shelby GT? GT500? GT500KR?

The F-bodies sold in combined numbers that were not equal to the Mustang’s. Why was that?

For one thing, the Mustang’s core buyers were women. The Mustang was not overstyled like the F-bodies, so visibility was better, ingress/egress was better, and it was just a more comfortable car.

Meanwhile, the F-bodies were clearly targeted to men. And when they got that insurance bill, they often decided to get another vehicle – in many cases, pickup trucks with RWD.

The plant in Canada that built these cars were better utilized to building cars were GM could make a decent profit, which was very important because GM was not in great shape at the time. Blaming bean counters is not telling the whole story, and I don’t blame GM for getting rid of the cars – they just didn’t have the resources to redesign them, especially considering they needed to sell a certain amount that just wasn’t happening. But time heals wounds, and we all know the Camaro is coming back.

Horsepower is not the clincher in the sales wars. The F-bodies were difficult cars for a large percentage of auto buyers, and their needs were better met by the Mustang or smaller, more practical sport coupes.

Are you looking for a toyota tundra for sale? Check out the Automobile Search Engine: LemonFree.com

Q: does any one have a toyota tundra/tacoma for sale?
Well im looking for a good first car/truck but its knid hard so if any one has one that they are tired and want to sell i’m in Dallas, Ga. so if you got it and your close tell me!!!……………Plz

A: These are good online sites for finding a Toyota truck. There are lots of Tacomas out there, fewer Tundras.

1) autotrader.com

2) cars.com

3) craigslist.com

4) eBay.com (approach eBay cars with great caution)

Good luck.

Q: When will Toyota have a national Year-end clearance sale on all the 2007 Tacoma?
I am looking to purchase a 4×2, 4.0 V6 engine, Prerunner access cab. I notice that all the other vehicles have large rebates such as the highlander, corrola, and tundras. Why not the Tacomas? All I see is a $500 rebate for access cabs and $750 for regular cabs. Not a good deal I think. I see that they already have the 2008 tacoma models out and I don’t see a difference in the appearance and options. The only difference is the price is slightly higher than the 2007’s. Will the 2007 models stay the same in their price? Or will there be any high rebates on these models?

A: I bought an 07′ in jan 07′ and the sticker was $25,200. I got it for $23,000 with all taxes and fees included! Shop more than one dealer and get quotes on paper. The Tacoma is in demand and rebates aren’t likely but you can still work your price down. Tell them you are shopping against the nissan frontier and get a quote on one(even though you would never buy it)! Good luck!

Q: I don’t have a question, I have a warning. Team Toyota is not a reputable place to buy car. pappee16@yahoo.com
I went to Team Toyota, O’Neal Lane, Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 1:00 pm, to have my brakes repaired on my 2000 Toyota Tundra 137,000 miles.

My daughter’s car needed tires, it had electrical problems and a few other things wrong with it, so we were going to see if Team had something we could afford and trade in just the 1999 Camry. Well we were too upside down, (owed more than the car was worth) so we told them okay, and were leaving Team going to get something to eat while my truck brakes were being repair.

Well all of sudden this man comes out identified himself as Karl Jones and says come back in and let him see what he could do for us. Karl Jones does some fast talking about how we need to trade both car and truck in a newer version with a 100,000 mile warranty on each. Sticker price on 2003 KIA Sedona $15,995 and the sticker price on the 2002 Toyota Tundra was $23,995. I told Mr. Jones that I couldn’t afford to trade both vehicles in and that I didn’t want the warranties. Well with his high pressured tactics saying oh but you need this, you can’t afford not to, the note will not be but $100 difference on the notes you already, well the note went up $125 (1999 Camry note $286)(2003 KIA Sedona car note $412.15) and went up $187 (2000 Toyota Tundra note $398)(2002 Toyota Tundra $589.88); I ending up trading both vehicles in with warranties, gap, life insurance, and Toyota Auto Care Prepaid Maintenance Program car after care (oil changes) of which he said he was going to throw that in. Gary in Service told me that Chiquita Kingdom told the repair shop not to repair my truck because a deal was being work for me, because when I went to check on my truck it still had not been touched (in fact my 2000 Toyota Tundra Truck wasn’t repaired until late Monday evening December 12, 2005.

My 2000 Toyota truck (136,000 miles on it) into a newer model is now on sale at Team Toyota for $12,885 when I bought it in 2002 it had 75,000 mile on it and I paid $15,000.

Well with all of Karl Jones’ high pressured tactics saying oh but you need this, you can’t afford not to, the note will not be but $100 difference on the notes you already had, before I knew it I was leaving Team Toyota with two different cars with notes well over the $100 more that he quoted me and warranties that I said I didn’t want.

February 23, 2005, I had to buy 4 tires for the KIA Sedona. When a person pays $15,000 for a vehicle, you should not have to buy tires for a least a year or more.

Q: 2003 Toyoto Tundra Purchase?
My 2nd oldest brother has a 2003 double cab toyota Tundra with 52,000 miles on it for sale.It has the 4.7 liter in it.He wants to sell it to me for $18,600.00. I am mostly worried about all the miles it has on it.Is the 4.7 liter a good reliable engine that will last past 200,000 miles without any problems? And is this a good purchase for the price. Please give me some adive. Thanks

A: Sounds like a good price, Autotrader.com shows average listing price of about $20K. Reliability should be very good, and the only problems with those trucks are minor; just check the front ball joints on the suspension for wear periodically. Toyota uses the 4.7 liter engine in it’s Landcruiser, and the Lexus LX470, which tend to be very durable. With proper maintenance your truck should go beyond 200K miles.

Q: Tax benefits for buying a new car in 2009?
I’m in the process of buying a new Toyota Tundra pickup truck and was wondering what the benefits are if i complete this purchase before the end of the year vs. waiting until January to buy it… would i qualify for the tax deduction on the sales tax? is that for any new car? Thanks…

A: Yes, you can deduct part or all of the sales tax whether you itemize or not.

Q: Toyota Loses Top Spot in Reliability Rankings?
DETROIT, Oct. 16 —The magazine Consumer Reports says that “bug-ridden redesigns” caused Toyota Motor of Japan to drop unexpectedly to third, from first, in its annual vehicle reliability rankings released on Tuesday.

Consumer Reports removed high-end versions of three Toyota models — the Camry and Lexus GS sedans and the Tundra pickup truck — from its list of recommended vehicles and said it would stop recommending new or redesigned Toyota vehicles without data showing that past years’ versions were reliable.

It is the first time since the current format of the ratings began in 1996 that a version of the Camry, which is the best-selling car in the United States, has not been recommended.

The survey, published in the magazine’s “Best & Worst New Cars 2008” issue that goes on sale in November, is the latest bump in the road for Toyota, whose sterling reputation for vehicle quality helped it surpass General Motors this year to become the world’s largest automaker.
A: Their quality has been slipping for years. They had the oil sludge problems that were covered up for years. Transmission problems. Suspension problems. Look at their cars and tell me they didn’t cut a few more corners to save a buck.

Q: Is this seller trying to scam me?
Hello,

I am glad that you are really interested in my car.
Regarding the price, to be honest with you…this was my brother car but he is not…anymore.I don’t want to get rich by its selling, just want to give it to someone who will take good care…….

As I already said in my first email the car is currently located in UK but still registered in US, so you won’t have to pay anything since it have a clear US title, no lien.
Also, the car is in perfect working condition and it was never been smoked in.
I can have it shipped from here by an US Air Force cargo plane so there won’t be any additional shipping costs. Also I can arrange for a truck to transport the car to your home address or, if you like, you can pick it up from the nearest airport in your area. The shipping will take up to 7 days, depending on your location. The car will arrive with all the papers and documents required for registration and the keys. The US clear title and the bill of sale will be already signed by me.
The final price you will have to pay is $15,500. The payment must be done through eBay. Ebay Motors will work for us just like an escrow service, just that the transaction will be faster and also 100% secure for both of us. You will send them the payment, then they will let me know that the payment is OK and I can start the shipping. After the car will arrive to you and you will inspect it, you will let them know that, so they can forward the payment and complete the transaction.
If the car is not as advertised and decide not to keep it (I’m sure this will not be the case) eBay will refund you the money, no questions asked, and shipping back of the car will be my concern. I think this is fair for both of us.

Please take into consideration that I will get paid only after you receive the car and make sure everything is as agreed.
If you agree with these terms and you have the money, send me your full name and the address where you want the car to be delivered and I will initiate the transaction with eBay. You will receive all the transaction details from them.
I will appreciate an answer as soon as possible. Also, feel free to ask me any question you may have.

Thank you,

Hello,

This is a 2008 TOYOTA TUNDRA CREWMAX LIMITED, CREW PICKUP 5.7L V8 FI DOHC 32V, 4 WHEEL DRIVE, Automatic, ONLY 14,723 Miles.
VIN 5TFDV58198X038200
Here you can find more pictures with the truck: http://s981.photobucket.com/albums/ae294/2008TUNDRA/
(if the above link does not work copy and paste it into a new web browser window)
It is in EXCELLENT condition; the body and paint are great, no scratches and no dents; the interior is clean; it has never been
involved in an accident. I’m an US Air Force Col. currently stationed in UK and the car is here with me. It was bought in the US and shipped to Europe, but it was never permanently registered here, the car is still registered in the US.
The shipping will take up to 7 business days and you will also have 10 days to inspect and test drive the vehicle from the moment it arrives at your place. There will be no extra or hidden taxes for you to pay since the car is still registered in US. In case you decide not to keep the car I’m responsible for shipping back costs. I must say that this is a US model car, with the steering wheel on the left side, as opposed to a UK model, that has the steering wheel on the right side. As I’m unable to travel in the near future and I don’t have anyone back home to help me with the sale I decided to sell this car through eBay or craigslist.
Our transaction will be entirely through eBay Motors and we both will be covered.
The final price is $15,500 including shipping from Europe to the US and delivery to your home address. So if you decide to buy this car or need further information pleaseget back to me as soon as possible.

Thank you and have a great day,

A: The answer is YES! We have been in contact with eBay through online chat and have been told this is a scam. We googled Colonel Lawrence S. Reed and according to them there is such a person in Lakenheath England. Don’t think it would be the same person. Someone is using his name and reputation, we think!

This guy has gone as far as sending a VPP transaction case number and invoice number to my son. He even gave him a phone number which was incorrect but we managed to figure it out and got through on the phone.

We sent all the information (including phone numbers and email addresses) to eBay and let them look after it. As this guy is pretending to use the eBay name.

This Lawrence S. Reed was quiet for a couple of days and has just contacted my son. He has advised the guy “don’t email me again”.

You would be wise to do the same. Don’t get stuck with losing your money!

Q: My employer made me purchase a new $30,000 truck, and then laid me off 2-months later. What should I do?
I have worked the last 3-years for a Fortune 500 company in their outside sales division. It was a great job until I got laid off last week.

My employment contract stated the company had to provide me a car, which they did for 3-years. Then stating they no longer wanted to lease vehicles and supply them to their salesman (us), they instituted a new car program where each of us was required to supply our own car. The company would then re-reimburse each of us via monthly checks that vary from $600 to $1,100 based on how many miles you drove that month.

The strange part of this deal was I already had a nice Ford 2006 STX that was almost paid for but my company would not allow me to use my Ford STX pick-up due to certain rules they dictated in the new car program.

A) The car must be no older than 4-years (year model manufacture age).
B) The car must invoice for at least $25,000 retail (MRSP)
C) The car or truck must have 4-doors (due to needing to entertain customers). Yes, I was in sales. Pick-ups are OK but must be full crew-cabs with a back seat and 4-doors).

My Ford truck was still new enough to qualify for the program but it did not have 4-doors, so my company told me I had to buy a new truck or car. Just 2-months ago I purchased a new 2010 Toyota Tundra only to be told last week I was being laid off with many other people due to hard times the company was experiencing.

I have only been re-reimbursed by the company with two checks totaling $1,200. Now, I get no future re-imbursements since I have been laid off.

Now, I am stuck with a new Toyota truck where I owe over $30,000 on and 60-months of payments with zero income (aside from a $407/month Texas unemployment check). I asked the company to compensate me for the cost of this new Toyota truck and was told I am shit out of luck.

The company did offer me a severance package of $6,500, provided I sign an agreement “Not to Sue” them. I told them I was not signing a damn thing and am now trying to figure out what my options are.

They have given me 30-days to decide whether to sign this contract or not. If I sue, the company rescinds the offer of any and all severance pay. What do you think I should do? The company says they don’t have to do anything. I say their position is highly immoral at the least, if not illegal. I also told them I did not think they could find a single juror that would take their side if I sued them. What do you think?

I have called a lawyer this morning but was only able to leave a message and they have not called me back yet. Do I keep calling lawyers or should I take the $6,500 (severance pay) and just find a job?

Signed: This week has sucked big-time.
I am normally a very optimistic person.

A: You need good legal advice. Keep calling the lawyer.

Q: does any one have a nissan 350z for sale ?
Does any one have a 350z any millage manual transmition can be any year just let me know willing to buy love that car

A: search on craigslist!!
www.craigslist.com
then find your state and region then search 350z

Q: i found a 04 nissan 350z for sale is this a good deal..?
its a 04 350z, its a convertible, it black wit a black soft top, it has 52000 miles on it, 20 inch rims, nismo exhaust, like peanut butter colored leather seats, its a automatic, bose sound system, the paint is flawless and interior is good, idk what trim it is, they only wanting 14000 for it…..

A: There are a few packages the 350z had on them that year. Your best bet is to use kbb.com, which is kelly blue book to determine all the values of used cars. 14K is excellect condition for the specific vehicle (how I put it in at least) so if this car isn’t in tip top shape, dont pay that much. Plus with the economy right now, you should be able to find a good deal on one. Try cars.com

(By the way – never pay for add ons or custom mods. The car is worth what its worth. Unless he dropped like a ton of money in the car, a few minor upgrades shouldnt coust you anything more)

Q: nissan 350z auction or private sale?
should i put my nissan 350z for sale or auction it???

A: nah mate selll it in parts wreck it..u make more money

Q: G35 coupe, nissan 350Z for sale?
Is there anyone who is selling or knows someone selling an Infiniti G35 coupe, or a nissan 350z? Under $12,00 Anyone know of anyone selling either of those two cars.

A: visit this website http://automobilesltd.blogspot.com

Q: Where can I find a 2002 Nisson 350z?
Does anyone know where I could find a 2002 350z for sale, and would this be a good car for a new driver im 15 thanks.

A: That may be difficult 2003 was the first year of 350Z production. I am sorry I cannot recommend a high powered sports car as your first car unless you attend car control driving school at a race track near you. Then high performance driving school. After You learn then drive anything you want. First cars have to be expendable and inexpensive to repair. Drive safely the first year with out a wreck first. Many of the people you know will die in avoidable car crashes. (Not Accidents)

Q: Im Looking for a 2007-2008 350z NISMO for sale?
I need some help im looking for a 350z nismo for sale… im in love with this car… and i will be highly upset if i cant find it with a price thats reasonable for my budget… i live in Connecticut so hopefully you guys can find a car around my state would be awesome! i will take other recommendations… i just want a coupe ad least under 25000 even lower would be nice lol!!! Thanks so much… no older then i say 2003-2004 an 06 would be perfect

A: try autotrader.com

you can put distance from where you live and the exact car you want down to mileage, color, transmission, and price.

Q: Nearest Nissan Dealer to Waxahachie Texas?
Anyone know of the Closest Nissan Dealer to Waxahachie/Ennis Texas? Or possibly even a dealer that may have a 350z for sale?

A: rt 22 nissan in nj

Q: Can you buy a 350Z with a right sided driver seat?
Or do you have to import it from Japan? I have seen them, like in Top Gear but not in dealers, I have seen them around on the streets and car shows where I live (Chicago) but I dont know if those are imported from Japan, and obvisiouly those aren’t for sale lol.

Which way is the correct way to word it? Is it import from Japan, or export from Japan?

A: The only way I would import a right hand drive car, is if the car wasn’t sold in the US ever. the 350Z was sold here, so it would be pretty stupid, IMHO. It’s no different than the people who convert their Civics/Integras/240SX’s/etc. to right hand drive to be “JDM”. Next time just tell someone like that “man, that’s nothing. I don’t need the steering wheel on the right side of the car, cuz I’m so JDM, I sleep on the right side of the bed!” <just shows the kind of logic for that. How do you go through a drive through window, in reverse? Or do you have to have a friend with you if you want fast food?

Q: cruise control 350z. How hard to install?
How hard would it be to install a after market cruise control on a 2007 350z? Would one be better off taking it to a shop? Anyone out there ever installed one? I see them for sale around $ 300

A: Don’t do it. A CC interfaces with many sub-systems of the vehicle and this is a complicated vehicle. Anyone saying otherwise is lying to you. I am surprised that a 350Z could be bought without CC. The only choice you have is to install a factory unit but it’s going to be expensive. You should have been bought it with the car the first time.

Q: Any body got any good or Bad comments on the Nissan 350z I am thinking of buying a used one?
any body got one for sale ?

A: I have a 2006 350Z and I absolutely love the car. It handles VERY well and it gets great gas mileage. I have my windows all blacked out, so it looks pretty tight with the dark silver paint.
It definitely is not a family car, with the no back seat. But if you are just looking for a fun car to drive, then this is definitely the one. I get compliments every time I am driving it, cuz it just looks good.

Q: Nissan Engine Swap RB26DETT into 350z?
I own a 2004 Nissan 350z i haven’t started to modify yet, and i recently found out there is a Nissan Skyline RB26DETT engine for sale, would anyone know if it would be possible to put it into my 350z

A: As said the 350z engine is a great engine although it does have its limits, hence some tuners changing to the Rb26 engine which as we know
is voted one of the most tunable engines in the World.
So yes it can be done.
http://www.topsecretjpn.com/gallery.shtml
the company above do them as well as a 2jz powered 350z although they all top around 700bhp due to being drift cars.

So unless your after big power then mods on your already engine will do,but as said the RB will give you scary high bhp figures. And you have the advantage of having a decent project.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/350z-swap-rb26dett_33061.htm
350z Rb26dett conversion vid.

Q: Nissan 350Z. Should I get one!?
Right now I drive an Acura RSX Type-s. I’m thinking about trading in for a 350z. Excluding the limited space available inside, which isn’t an issue for me, would it be a good investment?

My concerns are as follows:

1.) Nissan seems to have flooded the market with Z’s. On Autotrader or eBay for example there are a ton available for sale, which seems to have quickly lowered their resale value.

2.) This would be my primary traveler. Would I quickly tire of the stiff ride and sportiness or do owners feel they maintain their fun factor?

3.) Given my money situation, I would likely get a 2003 model, which I know has had issues with irregular tire wear in the front. Are there any other documented defects that would reduce reliability?

Thanks for your imput!
If there are any owners of the 350z out there, I’m really also looking to see if they regret their purchase or are still happy with it. Thanks!

A: If money is a factor and you can only get an older one which is probably out of warranty, don’t get one. All 350z cars are hard on tires because they’re are aligned for performance at the sacrifice of tire wear plus they cannot be rotated due to the tire size from front to rear (rears are wider), but you might be putting rims on this car anyway right? There was a bulletin for lower control arms but the tire wear is worse on the rears for obvious reasons anyway. Brakes get worn out quicker than most cars for some strange reason. I was putting brakes on a 350z’s at 15k miles ??? And half needed rotors. a $500 + brake job at 15 – 22k miles. Of course you must get one with Brembo brakes.

The clutch job on a 350z is well over $1000 due to the inability to resurface the dual mass flywheel which lists at $1057.00 + tax, is not covered under warranty after 12k mikes and believe me you can’t put the scorched f/wheel back in (ok, Nissan may goodwill the flywheel if you show that you regularly maintain you car). All these costly repairs would make anyone trade it in, which is what a lot of people do.

Don’t get me wrong. I worked as a tech at Nissan for 3 years and i loved to drive the 350z’s, they got great power and are built solidly except for the wear items (brakes tires and clutch). They are mod friendly and many Nissan dealers are mod friendly. If you gotta get one, get it new or become a mechanic.

Q: Should I put a turbo and a chip on an A4, or should I get a 350z/audi TT quattro 3.2?
I have an audi A4 but I want something faster. It is an automatic transmission and it is the 2.0T. I am debating either chipping the A4 and putting some kind of turbo kit on it, possible other upgrades. Or I can just get rid of it and get an 350Z. There is currently an audi TT quattro 3.2L for sale with 75,000 miles for 23k which is lookin pretty nice right about now too.

Any feedback, info about the turbo kits, or cars would be greatly appreciated as well.

A: Your car already has a turbocharger on it. . .

Q: NISSAN 350Z PRICE CHANGES?
Hello there…

As everyone knows , Nissan has replaced production of the 350z with the 370z as of 2009. So what i wanna know is, suppose one was to buy a 350z a few years later, like let’s say 2013 , how much would a 350z in very good condition cost?
Would the price decrease or increase ? Why? And do you think it’ll be possible to find this car for sale in 2013?
Thanks for your input

A: 2013??? hmm…the price will have definately gone down, but the car would have been driven many many miles…and besides, why do you want a 350z? its not at all a good car for its money…and most certainly wont be in next four years. In four years you will be able to buy a heap load of better cars for lower prices.

Q: Nissan 370z or current 350z…Need everyones quick opinion…?
So I’ve been following the upcoming Nissan 370z since it was just a mere rumor, all the spy shots, rendering so on and so forth. I’m looking to save up some money for when it does come out, I can have enough for a down payment. Now my question is, should I just trade in my vehicle for a current 07/08 350z or wait the year or so until early 2009 when the Nissan 370z is going on sale??

A: I would suggest purchasing a 07/08. First year cars sometimes have “issues” (ie. recalls). 09 is too new and no one really knows what to expect from the 370z. I would get a 350z and wait until at least late 09 to mid 10 to see if there are many recalls and what the general likeability of the car is.

Q: How to change front rotors on a 2000 honda civic?
My husband has changed rotors on a 90 honda accord befor but never a 2000 civic, is there a big difference? I need new front rotors and new brakes how hard it that to do?

A: The front rotors will need to be hydraulically pressed onto the hub. The pads themselves are very easy to replace. If your husband has access to a press or has a press you can have this simple task done for about $100 USD. It should only take about 30-45 minutes as well.

Q: Can a 2000 Honda Civic handle a HID kit without a relay harness?
I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX and plan on installing an 8000k HID kit. I have researched around and it is not necessary to have a relay harness, but there is a chance of making the stock harness stop working. For anyone that owns a 97-00 Civic, can your stock harness handle the HID kit without a relay harness?

A: Hey friend, an H.I.D kit consists of a set of ballasts (bulbs), wiring harnesses and ignitor boxes. In order for the kit to properly work on your vehicle, you have to have all three componets. There is no way around it. If you try to hardwire it into your current headlight harness, you can potentially fry your electrical system. Even cars like BMW, Benz, Range Rover whatever that have HIDs or Xenon lights have those three componets. Your working with your car here. Why shortcut something and risk destroying your project and transportation? Hope this helps happy tuning.

Q: What else to enhance the horsepower of a 2000 honda civic ex?
I have a 2000 honda civic ex coupe model. Its a manual transmission. I am trying to enhance the speed. So far, i have a short rim intake(aem brand) & a decent looking exhaust. I want to add headers to it also. What else can i do to it? Also, if anyone can knows of any websites where i can obtain info & get cheap prices. Thanks

A: You probally already know this, but remove any thing you can live without. spare tire, jack, glove box liner.any thing. loosing 100lbs is the same as gaining 10 hp. 10 FREE hp. Good luck.

Q: Can anybody please help me find my 2000 Honda Civic radio code?
I recently replaced the battery in my 2000 Honda Civic, and now the radio doesn’t work. The radio prompts me for a code to unlock the radio, but I don’t have the code. From what I’ve found searching online, this is a common problem.

I have searched all over my car for the code sticker, but all I could find is what I believe to be the radio serial number. Is anybody able to tell me my radio code from the radio serial number? M98N355810

Thank you!

A: Im a moderator for www.crvoc.com and we get that all the time, here is the link to honda’s retrieval site https://radio-navicode.honda.com/

just follow the prompts on their site and it should work, but im not sure i have not tried it, and i own a 2000 honda cr-v. but most likely the dealership will have it, or there should be a sticker inside your glove box, or so i have heard.

Q: How can I improve the speed and acceleration of my 2000 honda civic?
I own a stock 2000 honda civic and want to improve its speed and acceleration, what are the first things i should do?

A: it depends on your wallet really.
the best way to increase horsepower is to install a nitrous kit (aka NOS by some ppl)
another way is to install a supercharger or turbo charger into the car.
any of these methods should increase the total horse power of you car from 30-50%

another way is to do an engine swap. depending on what engine you currently have an engine swap might be a good way to increase your cars speed/power.

Q: Lost the key to my 2000 Honda Civic. How can I start it?
I want to sell my 2000 Honda Civic since the transmission no longer works, and I’ve lost the key. Some people have come by and asked me about the car, but I want to be able to show them that it works fine, other than the transmission. Is there anyway that I can turn the car on?

A: Go to the dealership with the VIN and proof of ownership (insurance card or title) and they can cut a new one while you wait. Runs about $15.00

Q: How do I get my 2000 Honda Civic alarm’s remote start to remain on?
I am installing a Carvox car alarm in a 2000 Honda Civic with remote start. Alarm works fine but remote start starts vehicle for 15 seconds and then the vehicle shuts off.

How do I get the vehicle to remain on? Is there a prob with wire connection? do I need to add a relay?
And the manual does not show any information on adjusting timing

A: read the manual there should be a set up for the timer.

Q: How do I install a rear bumper cover on a 2000 Honda Civic?
The rear bumper cover on my 2000 Honda Civic cracked (got hit from the rear lightly, which damaged the plastic nonetheless). Thanks in advance for any pointers!

A: Buy a Haynes Manual for a 2000 Honda Civic at an auto parts store.
It’ll give you instructions with illustrations on how to change out the rear bumper.

Q: how do you fix the power outlet under the radio in a 2000 honda civic?
I have a 2000 honda civic. My power outlet or my cigarette lighter, how ever you wanna call it, is not working. I plug in my cell phone charger and my gps charger in it and it does not work at all. Im wondering if it could be from a fuse that has gone out or something else.. If you know anything on how to fix it and how much it would be to get it fixed, please give me an answer.

A: The first thing you should check is the fuse…

Q: Where are the oxygen sensors located on a 2000 Honda Civic?
Firstly, let me apologize for the length of this question. But, I’m having trouble figuring out what to do. My fiancee has a 2000 Honda Civic. Her Check Engine light came on just recently. We hooked it up to a diagnostic machine that told us we had a/some bad oxygen sensors. The guy at the auto shop recommended a spray that is supposed to clean “gunk” of engine parts. He said if we spayed it and the light goes off, we have saved ourselves a lot of money. But, I don’t know where the sensors are in order to try it. I know very little about auto mechanics. So, if you know the answer, please state it as if you were speaking to a kindergartener. Thanks in advance for any help.

A: if you,ll look on the exhaust manifold and start following it down you,ll see the first one, then follow it down some more and you,ll see the second one,it should have two on it ,honestly what he old you wont really work on it though, when those go bad they have to be replaced, there’s no repairing them like he said, and even if it does make the light go off, you,ll have to get the trouble code erased, and i guarantee you it will come back on again,id just replace them and be done with it,that’s the best way to handle this, good luck with it.

Q: Where can I find rims for a 2000 Honda Civic Hatchback?
I have a 2000 Honda Civic Hatchback and I want to find some good rims for it. I would like to find rims that are green to put on it. Also where can I buy body kits for the Civic. Thanks!

A: if you are looking for the body kit you can check this link – there are about 25 body kits listed there for your car

http://www.customautotrim.com/bodykits/extreme-dimensions/honda/civic-hb/1996-2000/

Q: Where can I find a 2000 Honda Civic Door?
Got in a wreck. The front passenger side door needs to be replaced. I have a 2000 Honda Civic VP (the value package). Any ideas where to look or what key words I should use on my search?

Are there any other years that are compatible with this one?

Thank you!

A: Here’s a link to the national salvage yard inventory list.

http://car-part.com

Q: Is there a Flowmaster muffler that will work with my 2000 honda civic?
I looked on some websites and im not sure which ones will fit onto my car
Its a 2000 Honda Civic Ex Coupe

A: flow master and magnaflow are designed for v6 and v8 cars. you can get it for an inline4 but it will sound really bad. what you can do is get some headers, get a resonator and have a muffler shop make you an exhaust for your car at about 2.25″ with the resonator on and it will give you a deep sound. if you go with flowmaster or magnaflow you will end up with a high pitch sound and you will notice a slight rattle as it is not really designed for a 4 cylinder. i went with a thrush 31″ resonator and i love the way my civic sounds now. you really have to play with it though and see what kind of sound you like.

Q: What are the best initial upgrades for a 2000 honda civic for under $1000?
If i have $1000 to spend on my 2000 honda civic, how should i spend it to get the best power improvement?

Alternatively, is there any way to spend that $1000 to improve its overall fuel efficiency?

A: intake, headers, exhaust. the 3 basic and common upgrades. they also increase fuel efficiency. also, upgrade your ground wires. use thicker wires to better ground everything. a grounding kit isn’t necessary, as i’ve seen friends of mine just use thicker cables to ground and it does the same job as the ’sun’ kits.

Q: How much would a repair service charge me for a replacement on a 2000 honda civic bumper?
front bumper on a 2000 honda civic needs replacing. if anyone could tell me an estimate to get the replacement bumper along with the labor service charge that would be great

A: You are looking at over $1000 easily if it needs painted also.

Q: 1968 mustang?
Does anyone know how to calibrate the speedometer in a 68 mustang?

A: The only way to calibrate the speedo on these is to change the speedometer drive gear located in the transmission tailshaft.
There are several combinations, so make sure the drive and driven gear are compatible.
Your local Ford dealer should have a chart that will show the gears needed for the axle ratio and tire size.

Q: How much is a 1968 mustang usually worth?
I have a 1968 mustang that i want to sell. No cosmetic damage, except for a rip in the front seat. Its an automatic and sometimes doesnt go into drive..So somethings wrong..Needs tranny work. How much would the car be worth (ballpark)? And if you know anything about tranny’s, maybe with more details you would be able to tell whats wrong with the car?
Its a 1968 mustang coupe. Its blue, paint job is about 4 yrs old. Received from an uncle when he died. He had bought it for 8000. Since then, the tranny has been acting up, and wont go in to drive all the time (will sometimes). starter and everything else good condition.

A: Try going to www.kbb.com or www.edmunds.com to get the value. There you can enter in any information & get a quote.

Q: How to remove 1968 mustang stuck gas cap?
I have had my 1968 mustang for about four months. I went to get gas the other day and the gas cap would not come off. I have spent hours trying to remove it with no luck. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this problem. I would like to keep damage to a minimum.

A: go into the trunk and remove the fuel neck that goes to the tank you can also remove the bolts or drill them out that hold you gas cap in place

Also, looked on kbb but only goes back to 1986 (?) so no luck

A: Try the National Auto Dealers Assn web site. They have a classic car section that includes your 68 Mustang.

Q: How much would it cost to get a 1968 mustang GT coupe painted for lime green to lipstick red?
I bought a 1968 Ford Mustang GT coupe and I want It to be painted from lime green to lipstick red. It has no rust or scratches and I’ll only drive it in the summer. I can remove all the trim myself for painting and put it back on, in canadian dollars please.

A: Well you are asking a question about dollars and sense. It doesn’t make sense to spend all your dollars if you don’t have to, am I right? Well then, keeping that in mind, I will tell you that there are two way’s you can paint a car. There is the right way, obviously, and the wrong way, also obvious. The right way is to get the car looking like Ford actually painted it that color back in 1968. A correct and true color change will include the entire engine bay, the door jams, the interior and the the entire underside. The wrong way to paint it would be to cut corners just to save money. This includes NOT removing all trim/windows/lights/engine/trans./suspension components/brake lines/fuel lines/etc. The right way to “color change” a vehicle will easily cost you upwards of $10,000 Canadian. The wrong way can leave you with a fatter wallet but a smaller ego. The wrong way can still cost 1,2,3 maybe even $4,000 if you are a sucker. My suggestion, if you truly want to do this, is to entirely dismantle the whole car on your own, put it on a rotiserrie, have it towed to a shop that does acid dipping and sand blasting and then take it to whomever is painting it for you. This will allow them(the painter) to do their work and not worry about prep./overspray/etc.

A real color change is an expensive, time consuming process. I hope I have helped, good luck!

Q: How much wolud a fully restored 1968 Mustang Fastback sell for?
It is a 1968 Mustang Fastback with the 289 engine and the transmission is a c-4. It has fully restored interior. It has no miles ran on the engine.

A: ooohh baby thats a beaut
around the range of 25k+!!!!

Q: How to start restoring a 1968 mustang fastback?
I just bought a 1968 mustang fastback. Its a sweet car. Im from SD but work on the road all the time. I would love to restore it myself but I obviously dont have the time. I would rather have someone in the state or close by restore it but not sure who really does it there. My main question is should I give it to a shop that could do everything and contract out the engine and other stuff while doing the body work or start by having a mechanic do all the work on the mechanics and then giving the car over to the body man. the car is in decent shape but is not driveable because a frame rail is rusted thru. 289 2v auto.
http://img112.imageshack.us/my.php?image=stang2ow0.jpg
go to the above link to see a pic
The car looks great in a pic but its been sitting in a shed since 1982 and had a cheap enamel paint job done around 1980. the only rust is a lil in the shock towers and the rear right frame rail

A: Frame rot is pretty serious for a Mustang..You really need to find a Mustang does all repair shop.. The body has to be taken off the frame and replaced… Not fixed replaced… To redo the car all the way is gona cost $20-$25 K The car will be brand new… Some of these shops are really fantastic and do the job in 2-3 months… A 68 Mustang only costs $2200 new…If you change your mind about fixing it–sell it to some one who will..

Q: How much would it cost to register a 1968 mustang fastback GT?
i have a 1968 mustang fastback GT and it hasnt been registered for at least 10 years. What I am wondering is how much it will cost to register it in california. I am 44 years old if that has any importance. Thanks
just give a rough estimate of how much it will cost

A: It’s $69 plus any penalties and tranfers..If it’s been off the books that long it may be out of the computer and no penalties..

transfers are free for relatives…

$69 is now the minimum for old cars…

Q: Is the trunk lid on a 1968 Mustang Fastback the same as the trunk lid on a 1968 Mustang Coupe?
I have a 1968 Mustang Fastback and I need doors for it. There is a local junk yard guy who has a Coupe and will give me the doors for a real good price. If you can please help me I would truly appreciate it. Thanks! Have a Nice Day!

A: The trunk lids are completely different, the fastback’s is smaller than the coupes. However the doors will fit just fine, if I remember correctly it’s only the glass that is different so you’ll need to replace the door glass.

Q: Where would you find information about installing windows in a 1968 Mustang?
We are restoring a 1968 Mustang ourselves and need help with the windows. Any website or any book would be great! Thanks!!

A: Your local parts house will have a repair manual and it will have some info on window repair.

Some “simple” projects can seem daunting, especially when it comes to glass. For some reason, nearly everyone is afraid of breaking glass, so they will either avoid working around it or go about doing things the hard way. Let’s look at this side window assembly and see how to remove the glass in the most efficient manner.

A typical car door window is held in place by the bottom track and a full – or partial – chrome-plated channel that frames it. The glass itself is sandwiched into these metal components with a rubber/fiber window channel material and some sort of sealing compound. In modern (post 1970)cars the sealing compound is probably a caulk-like material while in older cars the compound was a form of window putty. In either case the material solidifies over time and can be very hard to remove, so separating the window from the frame requires a little imagination.

In all cases you will be able to separate the top part of the window frame from the bottom channel. In the case of this T-Bird window there are three screws at the back end that hold the chrome channel to the bottom frame. We had to drill out one of them, but suffice to say that you should be able to remove the screws in some relatively easy way.

In all probability the channel is going to stick to the glass, as it did on the subject window. We softened the old, dried putty in the channel by soaking the window in the laundry tub overnight. Soapy water did the trick and we were able to gently remove the chrome channel from the window without bending anything. Tip: When prying against glass always use a wooden spatula or wrap duct tape around screwdriver blades to prevent chipping!

The bottom of the window is also held in the channel with fiber lining and putty, but this T-Bird window had been sealed with more modern materials sometime in the past 20-30 years. Soaking did nothing to soften the grip on the window, so in cases like this we recommend inserting a thin blade between the glass and lining and cutting along its length to free the glass from the channel. You have to take time doing this. Cut as deeply as possible on each pass until you get to the bottom. It is only when you can cut to the bottom on both sides of the glass that you can reliably pry the channel off. If you don’t do this you stand a good chance of bending the channel or breaking the glass.

I hope this will help you some.

Q: How do I change an automatic shift to a manual shift on a 1968 mustang?
hi, I have a 1968 mustang, and I have an automataic shift. I would really like to change it to either 4 or 5 speed manual, but I don’t know what i need to do the job at home without breaking the bank by going to a shop. If you could help, that would be great.Plz help.

Thanks

Bob

A: Transmission, bell housing, fly wheel, clutch pedal and all linkage, throw out bearing, shifter, and possibly drive shaft and clutch and pressure plate.

Q: Would it be cheaper to strip a 1968 mustang and paint the entire car or only paint the outside?
I have a 1968 ford mustang and was wondering if i should take everything out of the car and only leave the wheels to roll it on, then have everything painted (door jams, doors, interior metal…) or only paint the outside shell of the car. Which would be cheaper and which would be more necessary? Also the price. (not much body work needs to be done)

A: If you are keeping the car the same color, painting only the outside will suffice and cost A LOT less. If you are doing a full color change, I suggest painting the WHOLE car, otherwise it will look cheap.

Hope this helps, Good Luck!

Q: How do I change an automatic shift to a manual shift on a 1968 mustang?
hi, I have a 1968 mustang, and I have an automataic shift.
Thanks

Bob

A: You are going to need a manual trans, bellhousing, clutch disk, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, manual shifter and linkage, clutch pedal and linkage, manual nosecone on starter, and just basic hand tools. I swapped out an automatic for a four speed in a ‘66 Stang. It took me a full day and then some to make the swap. My driveshaft worked without any mods, and so did my crossmember.

Q: Where can i get 1968 mustang parts?
I recently purchased a 1968 mustang 2-Door hardtop. I had a car accident and i need to repair the front of it. Where can i get a good deal in the parts.

A: there are lots of parts places in the links at this group

Q: How much would you sell a 1968 Mustang Coupe?
I have mustang coupe 1968 sitting in my driveway for about 4 years now. I bought it before that from a man that hasent srove it since 1992…so its been a while. Original engine is still inside the engine bay, but everything else needs work hah. Original dash also.
How much would you sell the car for?

A: That should sell for about 4000 $ – 6500 $ … But as you said that it’s in a bad condition It might be worth a bit less than that … You can sell for more cuz it’s a muscle some people would buy it for much .

Q: Where can I find a cheap 1968 camaro project in california?
I am interested in buying a 1968 camaro project that I would like to work on. If you know anybody who is selling one or a very reliable website that has camaro’s it would be greatly appreciated if you let me know.

A: I am not sure how close you are to the Arizona (or Nevada) state line but there is a few places there that specialize in camaros and the best part about Arizona and Nevada is very little moisture in the air (so very little rust). So if you are willing to travel for the vehicle you might be able to find one in better condition. Just a suggestion. Good luck on finding your project.

Q: Is driving a 1968 Camaro a cool car to drive for a teenage girl?
my dad wont by me a car, but he offered to let me drive his 1968 camaro that was his in high school, to school next year…. its getting totally redone with new everything……… i dont think it fits a teenage girl to drive…. but im mad my dad wont get me a “newer” car.

A: You sound completely spoiled! When I turned 18, my parents bought me an 8 year old mini truck that was beat to hell and it wouldn’t go into third gear, so I had to rev up the RPMs real high and speed shift from second to fourth. It had no interior, so my parents bought this bright red indoor outdoor carpeting and they glued it to the floor and the door panels. The inside of my truck basically looked like a billard table. They paid five hundred bucks for my truck and I didn’t even know how to drive a stick. My friend and I took down some chains that were blocking off the front of The Angels Stadium in Aneheim California and we drove around the empty parking lot and he taught me how to shift. I tried to help my daughter with money for a car, but she kept picking lemons and they would break down, so she ended up taking the bus everywhere for a couple years. You don’t deserve a gift like a totally rebuilt, classic 68 Camaro. Your Dad should buy you a beater or hand you a bus pass and teach you to appreciate what you’ve got

Q: How much would it cost to fix up a 1968 Camaro RS?
I am looking at a 1968 Camaro and it it needs a moderate amount of work, roughly how much do you think it will cost??
I want to strip it, get new interior and put everything new. New stereo, power locks and windows, etc.

A: That’s an open ended question and depends on the amount of time and money you’re willing to commit as well as the level of interest you can sustain over the long haul. I’ve done restorations that dragged on for two years and can just suck the joy out of your life, no matter how cool the car may be and how grand your vision (I eventually finished my big one, a highly modified 1965 Corvair, that I autocrossed, ran time trials at Lime Rock with and drove daily for another 4 years until it just rusted away (in the northeast, you just can’t preserve a car that gets normal use). Still have the engine, with 250,000 miles on it, waiting for another body.

The 1968 Camaro has always been one of my favorites (they scrapped the ‘67 vent windows, didn’t add the ‘69 bulges, and it can accomodate any engine/trans combo). If it’s a rust-free car (dream on) from the southwest, then it’s not so bad. The depth of the corrosion will be the killer, and ultimately the factor that determines whether the project is worthwhile. Don’t get caught up in the details like stereo and power windows until you’re sure the structure is solid, otherwise it’s just lipstick on a pig. You’ve also got to decide whether it’s worth the investment. A 307 with a powerglide isn’t worth the effort. A big block, or Z-28 302 definitely would be a better place to start. A 327 is borderline. If the engine’s not original, say a 350, it loses points unless it’s something hot (LT-1) that hasn’t been abused). Keep in mind that the added weight of the big block will adversely affect the handling. If you’re looking for something to enjoy in driving that requires more than just traveling in a straight line, the small block is preferable.

One little thing that’s gonna drive you crazy is headlights. The RS package came with hideway headlights, and the motors that flip the covers had a lot of issues.

Basic priorities:

1. original as possible
2. as rust free as possible
3. good engine/trans combination

Don’t let a shiny new paint job and set of hot wheels and tires influence you too much. That’s easy stuff to deal with towards the end. As I said, focus on the structure and powertrain to begin with. Keep in maind that regardless of what you go with, you’ll always have to deal with the fact that 1968 engines were designed to run on higher octane (leaded) gas than is available today. Without fuel additives or retarding the ignition timing you’ll be hearing a lot of self-destructive pinging.

Whatever you choose, good luck.

Q: how can i repair the hardtop of a 1968 camaro from rust?
i just got a 1968 camaro, but the top is rusted it has hoes in some parts of the top.. mosrtly on the sides. they told me that i might have to get a new top. is that true… how would i do about doing this and from what car should i get it from?

A: sand it down…get to the holes and pits. then if you have access to lead body bars that is the best way to repair it. If not…then ugggg…bondo. you can also get some sheet metal and cut the bad parts out and weld the new stuff in. since it’s a classic I’d suggest have a reputable body shop do the work. It will cost you but it will be well worth it.

Q: what kind of motor can i put into a 1968 camaro?
i ran across a 1968 camaro but it was a v6 it has no motor or trany.. im thinking of putting an engine in there, but i whant to put a big motor something very very fast! what kind of motor can i put or can i put a big motor in there?

A: its only a mater of money, how much do you want to spend,454 ,500 etc

Q: how much money overtime do you think it will take to maintain a 1968 camaro?
i will probably be getting this car in a while from now and im wondering how much its going to cost me to keep this car running its a 1968 camaro

A: hey it would depend on how good of shape it is in.
you should try to get the one in good shape that way u will know all u need to pay for is the amount as a normal car!!!!!!!!
getting a really used car may result in a lot of money or work

Q: What is the difference between a 1967 Camaro from a 1968 camaro?
K I want to know the difference between the two. I already know about the wing windows on the 67 but not on the 68 and that the vin number on the 67 is on the door pillor and on the 68 its on the dash. If you know any difference let me know

A: The better under dash ventilation system which meant no vent windows is a good one for ‘68 compared to the first year ‘67.
The taillights are different. The front grill and parking lights are different but i can never remember which is which. I apologize. Between the hidden headlights and stuff they had a few different configurations those 2 years.

But,
The ‘67 had a Z/28 option that you could order. It was literally the letter code on the ordering form! But they didn’t call the car a Z/28.
Later on, Chevy marketing thought the ‘67 option code Z/28 had a cool ring to it…so in ‘68 if you ordered that code you got emblems on the car stating is was in fact a Z/28! Chevy made the same DZ-302 Z/28 engine from ‘67 to ‘69.

Here’s the most knowledge,
The BIGGEST difference between a ‘67 and a ‘68 Camaro is more than just Camaro. It effected every car sold in the united states in 1968.
In 1968, the Federal Government made it mandatory for all car’s sold in the United States to have SIDE MARKER LIGHTS!
Those little marker lights on the side of the front fender and rear quarter are 1968 to present day for every car! Therefore, the 1967 Camaro has NO marker lights at all on the side but the ‘68 to present day does!
No car before ‘68 did.

I’ll throw this in,….1986 was the first year the government made the rear, middle, ‘3rd brake light’ mandatory!
That may not interest you…until you find yourself looking at mid ’80’s IROC Camaro’s or Monte Carlo SS’s or Vette’s or T/A’s or etc. etc.

Q: How much does it cost to rebuild a 1968 Camaro?
I mean like buying the car(bout$8000) and then start from frame up. every little thing. pretty much new everything except for the good body parts. with a 502 crate engine?

A: That will be a very high $ resto

The engine along will run you between $7,000 and 12,000 depending on which 502 crate you want.

Then a transmission to handle that will run you around $1500 for 3 speed auto, around $3,000 if you want a 5 or 6 speed man

Rear end will neeed to be re worked at about $1000

In a uni body car like the camaro with that much torque you would need sub frame connetors and a min of a 6 point roll bar to keep from twisting car up. Thats about $300 in parts but if you get someone to weld the roll bar in thats another $500 in labor min.

Then to hook that kinda power you would need good aftermarket suspension at the price of around $1500

All of this is on top of the norm resto parts and prices for the interior, body, etc whick will run around $10,000

So 8,000 for car, $10,000 for gen resto, then $15,000 for your performance mods

So around $33,000 and thats with you doing most of all the labor

Q: What is the best way to drain old gas out of my 1968 camaro?
The car does run, but I can’t get a straight answer on how long the gas has been in there.

A: Why not just fill it up with fresh, hi-test gas? That would allow you to run all the old stuff out safely. If the car is “running” as you say, it won’t hurt it to do that. Just drive it “nice” till all the gas mix is gone.

Q: Is it possible to put airbags in a 1968 Camaro?
Just wondering if you can do that.

A: It depends if you’re talking about supplemental inflatable restraints or air ride suspension. There are several companies that make air ride kits for first gen Camaro’s, so that ones easy. If you are talking about supplemental inflatable restraints then it would be possible I guess, but extremely impractical. The biggest problem wouldn’t even be putting in a air bag equipped steering column or the passenger dash, it would be getting the front impact sensors to work correctly in a car that has a steel bumper, no impact absorbing material behind the bumper, no crumple zone, etc. Cars with airbags also have “5 mph” front bumpers for a reason. If you were to install airbag impact sensors in the front of a ‘68 Camaro, the airbags could and likely would deploy at the slightest impact, like bumping a parking block. Airbags are also computer controlled. The impact sensors send signal to the ECM, which sends signal to the airbags themselves to deploy, so you’d also have to find an ECM compatible with whatever airbags you used and have everything except for the airbag control flashed out. Monetarily it would be a no win proposition. You’d be looking at major money to do it on the front side and also major devaluation of the car on the back side.

Q: Where can i buy a front grill for my 1968 Camaro RS?
i need a black grill for the front of it, i broke it in a small accident recently and i cant find one anywhere. i live in iran. so i was thinking of somewhere which i can buy it from in the US or Canada and have it shipped to iran.

A: Take a look at this place.
I used to live a few blocks away from it and used to get all my parts for my 1983 Camaro…

http://www.gmsports.com/

I’m not sure about intenational shipments.
They’re located in the San Jose area of California near San Francisco.

G M Sports Salvage
1964 Oakland Rd
San Jose, CA 95131-1606
(408) 432-8498
If you know someone here in the states, preferably in California,
maybe they could contact them to get the part(s) you need and then they could ship them to you.

Good luck!

Q: Wil a 1968 camaro body fit on a 1970s frame?
I have a 1977 chevy camaro the body is well rusted. I was wanting to make a street legal drag car but i like the late 1960s body better.

A: no

Q: Where would best place be to buy a fan shroud (new) for 1968 camaro? Live in southern Indiana?
I have checked jc whitney cataogs and similar companies, can’t seem to find many reproduced parts for 1968.

A: 1968 Small block Camaro fan shrouds…

with AC… PN 3893814
w/o AC… PN 3893812

Check out eBay 140026658807, 160027572604, 160027572682, 220023351282…

There’s a couple listings for the big block application too…

Go to eBay, eBay Motors, car & truck parts… type in info in left margin…

They are brand new and there !!!….

          Cheers… …c-rascal

Q: Where can I find a harness bar for my 1968 camaro?
I was planning on putting a 6-point harness in it, but I dont want an entire cage just a small harness in the back

Can anybody help me out?

thanks

A: Build you one.

Q: Where can I find the kit for a 1968 Camaro front clip that will tilt the whole front end? 1994 Mustang too?
Instead of lifting the hood. I want it tilt from fire wall to toward front bumper, Also do U know the cost?

Q: ………..Toyota Venza…………?
How is the new 2009 toyota venza. i’v just seen it on the road.
i’m planning to buy a new car.
what are the specs…mpg…pros/cons…
thx.

A: Very nice vehicle that is very well equipped. Basically all of the versatility of an SUV without the bloated size and doggy performance. I would equate it to an Avalon wagon although Toyota has told us that it is “not a wagon or a cross-over”. I’ve attached the link to the venza section of the Toyota website, but I would really recommend driving one to get the best personal evaluation yourself. Only drawback I’ve seen so far is that the v6 models are pretty pricy with the packages many have on them.

Hope this helps.

Ken

Q: Did anybody have a problem with Toyota Venza with a sticking gas pedal?
Did anybody have a problem with Toyota Venza 2009/2010 with a sticking gas pedal? Is it a good car?

A: Like many Toyota models, there have been ‘unintended acceleration’ problems with this one. At this stage, how many model years the problem goes back has yet to be determined. The Japanese government censured Toyota in 2006 for not reporting and acting upon “loss of control incidents”.

Q: How much will the Toyota Venza cost?
Anyone have any idea what the MSRP will be in the US for the new Toyota Venza?

A: The 2009 Toyota Venza will sell between 23,000 – 33,000.

Q: Which one do you think is a better car Toyota Avalon or Toyota Venza?
Which one do you think is a better car Toyota Avalon or Toyota Venza?

A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carquotes.fateback.com

Q: What is the name of the band or person playing the music in the Toyota Venza commercials.?
I have seen two Venza commercials thus far and I like the music in both of them; however, I don’t know who is responsible for the music in them. Anyone know?

A: sorry but I can’t help

Q: Is Toyota Venza very noise on the road?
We just got Toyota Venza. When I am driving 50 miles and more the car get very noise.I feel like there is a big storm outside the car. Does anybody have the same problem?

A: Most consumer reports indicate that the Toyota Venza was cheapened by installing less than adequate sound insulation, and are said to be very loud while driving at 50 or above, particularly wind noise coming in. The Venza has been introduced at a time when Toyota has been cutting corners on all their vehicles, from sound insulation, to poor grade metals which rust easily, and flimsy rubber like plastics in the interior which squeak and let in even more noise throughout the passenger compartment. And so the bad wind noise you are hearing is just normal for a Toyota–particularly the Venza. It is also said to ride rather bumpy and not smooth because of the rediculous sized tires they put on them. Good luck.

Q: Is the Toyota Venza better or Ford Edge i cant chose between them?
The Ford Edge haas sync has 17mpg and 25mpg highway $29,000
The Toyota Venza comes with dvd player, gps, bluetooth, mp3 player and backup camera with 19mpg and 29 highway for $26,000

A: The Venza looks like it has more better features, with better gas mileage and a cheaper price. It also has the cargo capability of the Edge, but the Venza has a lower ride height, so you don’t have to “jump” into your car, like you have to do with the Edge.

The Venza has a better interior styling, and it should drive more like a car than th Edge, so it’ll have a much more comfortable car, because it’s based on the Camry platform. It also will have better resale value later on, and it is a very reliable and well marked car.

It has a very premium look to it, the Edge is a wonderful car, but I think with the statistics of the Venza, it looks like a no-brainer to me. The Venza.

Good luck with your choice.

Q: When will the Toyota Venza come out?
I want to know when the Toyota Venza will come out i want the exact date because I know its coming out late 2008 but when?

A: IT IS ON IT’S WAY! I will have one on my lot roughly around the 15th of this month.

From your friendly Toyota Salesperson

Q: Why does my 2009 Toyota Venza not have a transmission fluid dip stick? Or where is it?
It’s not shown in the user’s manual, not in the pix or in the index.
Why would I want to check it? Xmission fluid is much less viscous than gear oil. LInks do happen. With a dip stick, I could check for a leak and refill until it could be fixed. Without it, a small leak will mean a new transmission for many $1,000’s. — or did I miss something?

A: its the transmission, that kind (even automatic)don’t have dip sticks, its special pump used to fill the tranny with fluid and it can not be checked, why would you want to check it anyways, see your owners man for the time period for replacement and follow it

Q: Which should i buy: Toyota Venza or Ford Taurus X?
I think i should buy the Toyota Venza, but my friends say that the ford taurus x is better?

A: The taurus x is so so. Maybe they think its better because the Venza is brand new. The taurus x was actually introduced as the Ford Freestyle, but Ford changed the name.

The Venza is actually built in Georgetown, Kentucky, so if you buy it, you would be supporting that town. It does have an AWD optional (well, its a midsized crossover SUV) and there will also be a 4 cyl. model available in Jan 2009 (AWD will also be available for the 4 cyl too) Fuel economy is supposed to be better on the Venza. It only seats 5 though. It does look nicer than the Taurus X though. The taurus X looks like a compressed version of the Ford Expedition (especially the back) and it doesnt really look like a crossover.

I would recommend the Venza because its a toyota and it has more passenger room inside.

Q: Does anyone know the actual release date of the new Toyota Venza?
I’ve heard late 2008 but does anyone actually know an official date, or has it not yet been released to the press.

A: It has not been released to the press.

Q: Is the TOYOTA Venza considered a car or van in insurance?
Will the insurance per year for GEICO be more than a car or will geico consider the Venza a car?

A: For the situation like yours,I would like to suggest you have a look here www.Autoinsurancepro.info ,you should find something useful.

Q: Does anyone know if and when the Toyota Venza will arrive in Australia and what price they will start at?

A: Everything I have read on the web indicates that is only for the North American market.

Q: Are there any Toyota Venza Drivers out there? What is you opinion?
I want to buy a car that I can take road trips, fits at least four people and it is fun, classy, elegant and eye catcher. I also want it to double as a car that I haul my clients around in on occasion.

A: Best sedan/suv/wagon toyota ever made. I have a black one and i just got my windows tinted. Man this thing is sharp, power full and has plenty of room. The only thing I hate about it is the blind spot. It has huge pillars in the back that makes it impossible to check your blind spot. Other than that, it’s one of the best thing toyota made created.

I personally had my eyes set on it from day one. Traded my old landcruiser in for this one. What a ride difference. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Q: What’s de name of de song in de 2009 Toyota Venza commercial? De one that starts off wit a guitar theme?
It’s like, after the first half of the commercial- the words start coming in but i cant understand them, so I wood like to know the name of the song. I used slang in ma question to fit in all i wanted to ask, so, im not sum illeterate redneck =)

A: The song was composed by Jonathan Elias exclusively for this advertisement campaign. Sadly they won’t give the song out to anyone else.
